President Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, were this morning, joined by former military leaders: Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.) and Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.) at the Eagles Square in Abuja where the 58th Independence Day Celebration Parade; Theme: Harnessing Our Diversity for National Development, was held.

Conspicuously absent at the event were Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.
