Just when Nigerians are yet to come to terms with the fact that properties in Ikoyi goes for N9,000,000 ($24k) while the average cost of renting a two bedroom apartment is N10.8 million ($ 29k) while it costs N400million to N450 million to buy a plot of land, a Nigerian man has reealed that he bought a pencil in ikoyi for N1,500

 

The aggrived Nigerian man known simply as Josh recounted on how he was forced to buy a N10 pencil for N1,500 because he was in Ikoyi axis of Lagos State for a test

According to him, the money those who live in the island part of Lagos has to be different, than the money spent on the mainland

He took to recount on the incident, sharing a photo of the pencil and the receipt on Twitter;

"I was really in a hurry today and needed to get a pencil for a test. You people that stay on the island, your money really be different"
