HOT NEW: Court order suspected killers of Uniosun Student to be remanded in prison

Osogbo—An Osogbo magistrate’s court has ordered two suspects, Elijah Oyebode, 22, and Yusuf Ajibade, 25, arrested by Osun State Police Command in connection with the murder of Rofiat Damilola Adebisi, a student of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, to be remanded in Ilesa Prison custody.
Oyebode, who is a commercial driver, had earlier confessed that he hypnotised the deceased, who boarded his vehicle from Ipetu Ijesa to Osogbo, and then delivered her to one Jelili, a herbalist, who paid him N10,000 for the job.
He added that the herbalist had given him a charm and told him to bring any young lady who has not given birth.
It was further gathered that the second accused person, Yusuf Oyebode, allegedly received one Apple iPhone 5, valued at N100,000, stolen from the deceased.
Police Prosecutor, Mr. Mireti Wilson, told the court, yesterday, that the accused and other suspects currently at large committed the offence on December 23, 2016, at Egbeda in Iragbiji, Osun State.
Wilson explained that Oyebode and his accom-plices killed the student while Ajibade unlawfully received the stolen phone.
He said the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 324, 319(1) and 427 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. Law of Osun State, 2002.
The court did not take the plea of the accused, because the court lacks requisite jurisdiction.
Ruling on the matter, Magistrate Olusola Aluko ordered the accused remanded in prison custody and directed the Police to duplicate the case file and forward it to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPP, for legal advice.
He adjourned the case till March 30 for mention at Court Four.
