Photos of a young man being led away by a uniformed officer have been shared online, and according to reports, his offense was keeping an afro hairstyle.

The incident took place in Potiskum, Yobe state, where a special Task Force has reportedly been set up to tackle such issues.

Young men found with hairstyles considered inappropriate are arrested then forced to get a haircut and pay a fine of 600 Naira before they regain their freedom.
