Poem Of The Day: "Family" By Flo [Must Read]

Today on The Poem Of The Day on A2satsBlog, we bring you a nice write-up from your Favorite and Our Number one male Writer, Flo titled "Family". Enjoy!

_FAMILY_

what's  family?
I don't  understand,
I don't  know.
No apologies if I don't behave like one.

We are torn apart,
Walls are broken,
Centre:crumbled,
Yet we call us family.
I doubt it,
We are not.

Fake promises were made,
Love gone exile,
Feelings are dead,
Emotions are drained,
Memories; faded,
And no hope for the coming generation.
Yet we say we are family,
Family from the mouth, not the heart.

Deadly like the cobra's venom,
Fierce like tiger,
Deceitful like chameleon,
And callous like a fox,
Are your ways and behavior, you are all pretenders of doom,
Waiting to ambush a glorious  destiny:another man's child,
In your physical and spiritual realm.
Then carrying out your plots out secretly and discretely,
In the guise of family.

I don't know about you,
I don't know about family.
Because non of you plucked me lilies when I was young,
You showed no love.
Now I am golden,
You think I am yours.
No! I am not,
I know my helpers,
I know my true family,
And with them I pledge my allegiance,
Not with you killers of destiny and wolves in sheep clothing.
