Breaking: Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp beats Man City’s Pep to Premier League ‘Manager of the Season’ Award [Details]

Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool has been named Premier League manager of the year for the 2021/2022 season.

The German was also named LMA Manager of the Year by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Klopp’s team led the title race from start to finish, scoring 92 points, but fell short of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
“It is a great honour and it was an insane season,” Klopp said as he accepted his award. “The last matchday when only two games were meaningless and, in the rest, we all played for absolutely everything”

“It was a bit nervy, it wasn’t the best outcome for us, but we are already over it. And when you win a prize like this you are either a genius, or you have the best coaching staff in the world – I am here with four of my coaching staff, and they know how much I appreciate them.”

Liverpool still has a chance to win the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday.
