Certificate Controversy: Dino was never qualified for Matriculation or Graduation - Uniosunite laments

In a write-up which he tried to publicise on Social media platforms, Akingbade push in his perspective on Dino Melaye's Certificate controversy

READ BELOW:

I have followed discussions on Dino's certificate issue with great interest, made several online research and reached out to as much as possible individuals.

I was able to reach the conclusion  that Dino could have been admitted through the School of Remedial Studies with his three credits and later remedy the deficiencies by passing the school's examinations.

I also confirmed that Geography was in Arts faculty till 1996. Dino entered in 1991, so he could be covered.

My research also showed that Dino was granted AMNESTY to graduate with a honours degree after eighteen semesters in the year 2000, and that was curious too. I then asked if ABU is being regulated by the same JAMB AND NUC  like UNIOSUN , and I became confused.

I am a student of UNIOSUN, and I do understand the conditions for matriculation and award of degrees in UNIOSUN.

I know that to enter UNIOSUN , you must possess five o' level credits at one sitting, or  at two sittings in WASCE or any relevant certification. I also know that you can only be qualified for a honors degree after a maximum of twelve semesters for an eight semesters course like "geography".

Spending the  extra two to make it 12 would almost  be certainly equaled to being awarded a pass degree. Anything extra will only qualify you for Certificate of attendance and not a degree.

So if Dino had presented a UNIOSUN certificate, our own sheyination the latest jagaban of the alumni association and other relevant in house comrades would have protested.

Therefore, UNIOSUN graduates should be very proud of their alma Mata with my analysis. I expect the graduates of ABU to rise up equally.

Greatest UNIOSUNITES! Dino was never qualified for matriculation or graduation from your school, if all the facts on the table are confirmed by the VC of ABU.
