The ASUU-UNIOSUN held a special congress today at the Osogbo Campus of the Institution, to conduct referendum on the Federal Government offers to the Union.

1. Strike continues -21 votes
2. Suspend strike – 12 votes
3. Review proposal before suspension – 42 votes
Total number of votes – 75

1. That this result shall get to the National Strike Coordinating Committee for collation and further processing.
2. That strike continues in Uniosun and for our information, peruse the strike bulletin no. 2.

It would be recalled that the National strike monitoring committee of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) queried ASUU-UNIOSUN for non-compliance with the ongoing Nationwide strike and thereby warned the institution to stop the ongoing rain semester examination or will be sanctioned by the National secretariat of ASUU.

Meanwhile, the students of the institution have been held on ransom as they have not being allowed to continue with their ongoing rain semester examination neither has the school management declared joining the ongoing ASUU strike.
