GhenGhen: Prison Authorities Finally Speak on Evans Escape Plot

Authorities at the Kirikiri prisons in Lagos state has denied reports that billionaire kidnapper Evans planned to escape from prison by bribing a guard $100,000.

The prison's Public Relations Officer, Francis Enobare said “the suspect was in high spirit”.

The Deputy Controller of Prisons insisted that Evans did not plot to escape.

“It is not true that Evans plotted to escape from our custody. He is in high spirit and he sees his lawyers as he wants.

“He has never plotted to escape since we took custody of him. The security around him is very tight; all our prisons are well fortified.”
