We've finished class for the day,  I've tried all my possible best to see Grace but she doesn't want to see me at all. I've reconciled with Favour although she still wishes we're together. 
I traced Grace from school till she got to her hostel that evening.  When she was about to enter her room, I came out of my hiding place and knelt down before her seeking for forgiveness. She wasn't moved by pleas. 
"Haven't I warned you good for nothing moron to stay away from me?" she yelled at me
"Grace,  you can call me anything you want to call me, but please come back to me.  I'm now a changed person" I said still on my kneels with tears running down my face. 

She looked at me sympathetically,  and rubbed her palms on my head and said calmly "we are not getting back together" she walked towards the door that leads to her room. I tried pulling her legs but she stepped my fingers with the high heel shoes she was wearing and slammed the door and locked it.

"Ouch" I cried, my hands hurt for a moment I thought they'd never work again. I was in agony. My fingers were aching,  hot tears began to drop freely from my face. I stood at the same spot yelling "Grace!  Grace!!  Grace!!! Grace!!! Please just have mercy" After so many minutes of shouting, I thought that  she'd be moved by my tears and shouts and then reconcile with me.  I decided not to leave her hostel that evening  until she accepts my pleas.
I removed my shirt, placed it at her doorstep and then slept off.

Several sleepy hours later, I woke up to someone's helpless kicks on my ribs.  I felt pain over there- i opened my eyes and I saw Grace,  she became the heartless one.  She went inside again,  I thought she has accepted my pleas. She came out with a large bucket of water and poured it all over me. It was like all the waters in the ocean were emptied on me. I was soaked from head to toe same as everything I had on me. My Infinix mobile phone,  cash including me atm card too. Everyone around her room came out of their room to see what happened.  I could see that all of them in that hostel were ladies. It then dawn on me that Grace is living in a girl's only hostel.

Majority of the girls criticized Grace for pouring water on me. Some of them came to my aide, they cleaned me up and the dried the the water on me.  I took my shirt (though still soaked with water) and carried my bag.  I finally left her hostel.  Inspite of all she did to me, I still love her buy i was tempted to go back to Favour. She's ready to accept me.  I still waited for Grace for few weeks. I had made up my mind to go for Favour if Grace fails to give a positive response.

One fateful evening,  I was in my hostel trying to pen a story about my love life,  I wanted to write about all that happened between Me  Favour and Grace. I was thinking about where to start from. The door suddenly flung itself opened and there was the love of my life standing at the doorstep,  looking gorgeous like ever before.  She wore a white gown which was well slim fitted,  the gown barely reached her foot, it showed her figure 8. I was looking at her with a face full of surprises; I couldn't close my mouth.  She wore a makeup which was moderate, her face was fresh and her dreadlock hair was superb. She came into the room and stood right in front of me.  I got up  from my reading table too and moved close to her.  She threw her arms around me and hugged me passionately then she started crying.  I hugged her too I became so emotional too that I couldn't help but cry because I know that she came to  settle things with me. I was very happy because I didn't suffer  for nothing.

Later,  she released me and then held me by my hands.
"Ayodeji,  I want to tell you something"  she said as she sniffed "go on" I said, with the  assurance that I'm getting my baby girl back that evening. "Ayodeji,  I'm sorry for what I've done to you earlier. I don't mean to do it but you really broke my heart" she said as she broke into tears again
"I trusted you with all I had including my body and my soul but you betrayed my trust. I gave you my virginity to break but you want something more than that.  My heart,  that's what you want Huh? You should have told me that you love Favour and you're in a relationship with her instead of deceiving me"

"hmmmm" I said,  I couldn't look at her in the eye.

"you swore that you'll never betray me" she burst into tears again.  I patted her and murmured something's I don't even understand.

"Ayomi" Grace called me.  "during the period I decided not to talk or see you again,  I took a drastic step which I regretted till this moment"

"what's that,  please tell me" I said with fear

"I am now in a relationship with Emmy-G" she declared.  "he has been disturbing me ever since you proposed to me,  he knew about everything that happened between us and he proposed me again. I had no choice than to dance to his tune"
On hearing this, my head went blank like what happened in Genesis 1:1. I can't imagine, Emmy-G  that short, yellow boy with beards. Is that what she saw in him?  Maybe because he's a class rep. 

I felt like my whole world is over, I finally had the courage to talk to Grace. "it is my fault, not yours. If I haven't behaved stupidly,  this wouldn't have happened" I said with tears in my eyes, they weren't dropping thus made my vision blurred,  I blinked once or twice and they poured down freely like the Owu waterfalls.

She held my hand again,  it was then realized that we've not been holding each other lately,  I look into her eyes and said calmly I said calmly  "I wish you happiness with your man" she replied too "I wish you happiness with your woman" we hugged ourselves for what seems to  be like forever. I wept uncontrollably with no one to stop me.  I cried like a baby.

I had to let her go after all she's not mine again.  I have to face reality that I don't have a girlfriend anymore.

"Ayomi,  please go back to Favour.  She really loves you and you'd make a perfect couple together" Grace said as she picked her hair bond that fell from her head.  She bade me farewell and then kissed me on the forehead and then left my room.

I watched her go. Nothing is as painful as seeing the love of your life with someone else, what hurts than wanting something and knowing full well that you'll never get it again?
