Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi has been ruled out of next Sunday's Clasico against Real Madrid after fracturing a bone in his right arm in their 4-2 win over Sevilla.

The 31-year-old Argentine was taken off in the 26th minute after falling on his right arm after a clash with Sevilla's
Franco Vazquez.

Barcelona confirmed after the game that the 31-year-old suffered a "fracture of the radial bone in his right arm" and is set to miss the Champions League tie against Inter Milan in midweek and the clash with Real Madrid next Sunday.

'It's an important loss and we have some difficult rivals to face but we have the players to come in,' said Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde.

'There are games when he has not played from the start and we have played with the same way. We have to stay focused on the important games that we have.'

They later confirmed the injury is likely going to keep him out for three weeks. As well as the league game against Real Madrid and Champions League clash with Inter Milan.
