Matches went down in the Premier League yesterday as teams rounded up their matchday two fixtures.

Liverpool beat Burnley at Anfield as they had their second win of the season. Diogo Jota scored from Konstantinos Tsimikas' assist as they led in the first half of the match. Sadio Mane scored his first goal of the season from a Trent Alexander-Arnold assist as they sealed victory at Anfield.

Aston Villa won their first game of the season against Newcastle United, who haven't won a single match this season. Danny Ings scored a brilliant over head kick from Tyrone Mings' assist as they took the lead in the first half of the match. It was Danny Ings' second goal in his second appearance this season, El Ghazi scored from the penalty spot as Aston Villa sealed victory at Villa Park.

Leeds United played a 2-2 draw with Everton at Elland Road. Marcelo Bielsa's side recovered from their 5-1 loss against Manchester United last week. Everton initially took the lead after Dominic Calvert Lewin scored from the penalty spot. Leeds United got the equalizer after Klich scored from Patrick Bamford's assist. In the second half of the match, Gray gave Everton their lead back after he scored off a Doucouré assist. Raphinha scored the equalizer for Leeds United as the spoils were shared at Elland Road.

Manchester City trashed Norwich at the Etihad Stadium as they won their first game of the season. Tim Krul's own goal opened the scoring for Manchester City, Jack Grealish, Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez were on the score sheet as Manchester City trashed Burnley. Gabriel Jesus provided two assists in today's match as Pep Guardiola got his first win of the season.

Brighton and Hove Albion won their second game of the season after they beat newly promoted Watford 2-0 at the American Express Stadium. Duffy scored the opening goal for Brighton in the opening minutes of the first half from a Pascal Groß assist. Maupay sealed victory for Brighton and Hove Albion in the first half of the match, Bissouma provided the assist for the goal.
