A Kenyan Governor, Alfred Mutua reportedly plunged into river while taking selfie on newly-built bridge as he was taking a tour

The incident which occured yesterday, left the residents of Ogembo in Kenya awed upon receipt of the news as it turned out that the contractor did a shoddy job.

The footbridge gave way under the weight of dignitaries and villagers who had trooped out to celebrate the inauguration of the bridge

However, upon an interview granted by the governor, he dismissed the report about selfies.

“I have been baptised by River Gucha and now I must build a house in Gucha,”

“The bridge caved in after a crowd of those who accompanied us joined us,”

He reportedly said that he was safe and that he was having lunch.
