Just In: Roberto Carlos names player who will win the 2018 Ballon d’Or as date draws closer [Guess Who]

Brazil football legend, Roberto Carlos has tipped Luka Modric of Real Madrid to win this year’s Ballon d’ Or award. Carlos who played for Real Madrid also named the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar and Robinho as the players with the best free-style skills in world of football.

“Luka Modric is the favourite for me to win this year’s Ballon d’ Or, now he’s physically better and he’s going to be at his best again,” Carlos told Marca.

He added, “Ibrahimovic, Neymar and Robinho are the players with the best free-style skills in world football, but Beckham, Zidane and Ronaldo are also good.

“During a preseason with Real Madrid in Austria, Zidane, Ronaldo and I practiced doing tricks… and Ronaldo did things we couldn’t do, freestyler stuff.”

“Our training was open to the public and every movement was cheered by the people who were in the stands.”

The 2018 Ballon d’ Or award will take place on 3rd December, 2018 in Paris.
