OMG: Olofofo Uniosun Beats Opponents by large margins, Emerges Speaker Bureau Chair of YALI Nigeria Alumni [Full Details]
The CEO of Olofofo Uniosun, Olatunde Temitayo has emerged as the Speaker Bureau Chair of Nigeria Alumni chapter of Young African Leaders Initiative, Regional Leadership Center, West Africa.
YALI RLC was founded by the government of United States of America under the former President Barrack Obama. The YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa empowers young men and women between the ages of 18 and 35 from Togo, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, who are ready to embrace leadership and work hard to transform their countries.
The election which was held on 20 December, 2019 lasted for 12 hours. The total votes cast was 216 and there were 71 voids.
Temitayo had 118 votes in the election while his other two opponents; Nasiru Murtala Magori (North) had 65 votes and Ugwu Prince Ifeji (East) had 36 votes. He defeated the runner up with a margin of 53 votes.
The Independent Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr Achionye Chigozirim declared the winners of the election yesterday night, 21 December, 2019. Emediong Enefiok emerged as the President, Margaret Olajumoke as the Secretary, Olatunde Temitayo as the Speaker Bureau Chair, Oluwadara Falade as the Communication Chair and Mary Ogundimu as the Event and Networking Chair.
Reacting to the development, the CEO of Olofofo Uniosun thanked the voters in a statement released shortly after the IEC declaration.
The statement reads in part, “Dear leaders, it’s with great joy I hereby inform you that I won the election with 118 votes which is the highest votes in the whole election. It became possible because of you. Thanks so much.
I promise to fulfill my duty as the elected Speaker Bureau Chair of YALI RLC NIGERIA ALUMNI .God bless you for believing in me”
